The producers claim to have worked with Biblical scholars and historians on the script and production design, and the Old Testament characters certainly look to be covered with an appropriate amount of Bronze Age dirt and dust, at least in the production still photos. But Jesus - like his predecessors in such dramas as King of Kings, The Greatest Story Ever Told, Jesus of Nazareth, and the CBS Jesus miniseries - still looks far more Northern European than Mediterranean...

who are the Biblical scholars and what is their background - cannot watch this as we are on antenna but lots of postings and phone calls about it. maybe it will be the new Da Vinci Code bringing people out to ask questions!!
